Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 29, 2026

Who operates Stresix

Stresix is operated by an individual developer, not a registered company. You can reach the operator at any time at [email protected].

This policy explains what personal data Stresix processes, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to everyone who visits the site or uses the service.

Data we collect

Account data: the email address and password hash you provide when you create an account, plus your account state and role.

Test data: the targets you save, the load profiles you choose, and the telemetry samples (virtual users, requests per second, latency percentiles, error rate) that your runs produce.

Billing data: your credit balance, credit ledger entries, and promo code redemptions. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record and uses Stripe to move money. Stresix never sees or stores your card details.

Usage analytics: when the site launches, a self-hosted Umami analytics script will count page views and basic traffic patterns. Umami runs without cookies and without personal identifiers, so individual visits are not tracked across sessions.

Cookies and local storage

Stresix sets one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. Without it, the workspace cannot work.

Your theme preference is stored in your browser local storage and never leaves your device.

There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no fingerprinting.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service: keep you signed in, save and run your tests, show your results, keep your credit balance correct, and handle refunds.

We use account and test data to protect the service from abuse, for example testing only targets you are authorized to test and preventing duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

Who we share data with

Hetzner hosts the servers that run Stresix and the load tests. Test traffic stays on private networks and never crosses the public internet.

Lemon Squeezy and Stripe process payments and handle refunds as our merchant of record. They receive your email and order details for that purpose.

Cloudflare provides DNS and CDN services for the public site.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else for advertising.

Legal bases

We process account data to perform the contract you accept when you sign up: providing the load testing service.

We process security and anti-abuse data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.

Where consent is required by law, for example for analytics in some regions, we ask before enabling it and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected].

Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your profile, saved tests, telemetry, and credit history.

Billing records may be kept longer where required by law or by our payment processors. You can download a copy of your data from Settings at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data, and to restrict or object to certain processing.

The fastest way to use these rights is in Settings: Download my data exports everything Stresix stores about you, and Delete my account permanently erases it.

You can also email [email protected] at any time. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or EEA, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Service data is hosted in the European Union on Hetzner infrastructure. Payment and CDN providers may process data in other regions, protected by standard contractual clauses and other lawful safeguards.

Children

Stresix is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
